[Date Prev][Date Next][Date Index] Lifestar - Follow-upDATE 4/20/01 1620 cdt PROGRAM Lifestar WEATHER Clear. Not a factor DESCRIPTION Friday afternoon, approximately 4:20 p.m. the Dallas based Lifestar aircraft N313LS, a BK 117 was involved in an accident. The aircraft was enroute from Dallas to Wichita Falls, TX. In the Decatur, TX area an engine failed. The pilot turned towards the Decatur Airport when the second engine failed. The aircraft was substantially damaged during the landing. All crewmembers were transported to a Fort Worth hospital. Injuries received are not life threatening. One crewmember was examined and released Friday evening. One was held for observation and released Sunday. The third continues to receive treatment for back injuries. Omniflight and AEC are assisting the NTSB and FAA with the on going investigation.
