DESCRIPTION During a patient transport from a rural hospital to the University of Utah at an altitude of 11,500 ft MSL (transitioning over the Uintah Mountains) the pilot noticed torque fluctuations from approx. 20-80 psi. He made minor torque adjustments and then noticed engine oil pressure fluctuations from 30-100 psi. He made a precautionary landing at 8000 MSL without incident. The patient was transported by another aircraft. The next day the oil pressure regulator assembly was inspected, changed, and the aircraft was returned to service. SOURCE Brian Simpson, RN.
