Not a factor AIRCRAFT_TYPE Bell 407 TAIL# N407MJ TEAM Pilot, Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic. No injuries reported. Patient on board. DESCRIPTION Flight Originated from Page, AZ going to Phoenix, AZ. Flight was routine for first 50 minutes. Near Flagstaff, AZ a faint smell of smoke was detected, shortly thereafter a flash was seen at the overhead panel. After which, position lights and all communications went dead. Flight was diverted to Flagstaff airport & precautionary landing was made. Flight crew transported patient by ground to Flagstaff Medical Center. ADDITIONAL INFO Maintenance Department later learned that there was a loose screw on the avionics master switch causing it to arch and overheat. Repairs were completed and aircraft was returned to service.
