DESCRIPTION
Our 206L3 had landed and the crew with patient had departed and
entered the hospital. The pilot had secured the blades and doors
prior to another flight service landing at the same helipad. On
their second approach to land they flew over the 206 and the right
crew door departed the aircraft. They aborted the landing and landed
in an adjacent field without incident. No other damage (except to
door and hinges) occured and no crew were injured. Repairs were made
and the aircraft was placed back into service several days later.
