[Date Prev][Date Next][Date Index] Angel One - Arkansas Children's Hospital - CCT Non-injury incidentDate: 01/14/2007 1930 CST Program: Angel One - Arkansas Children's Hospital 800 Marshall Street, Slot 604 Little Rock, AR 72202 Model: 2004 International Type: Type III Weather: Rain Road: Wet Team: EMT, RN, RRT. No injuries reported. No patient. Description: Neonatal Critical Care Transport Team was en route to Batesville, Arkansas for a neonatal patient. While traveling on the interstate a pickup truck in front of the ambulance traveling in the same direction hydroplaned on the wet roads and spun clockwise and struck the right front fender, passenger side steps and the patient compartment of the ambulance. This forced the ambulance off of the interstate into the median where the ambulance struck a guardrail causing damage to the left front fender, a flat tire and caused the driver?s side steps to detach from the ambulance. Additional Info: No patient was on board at the time of the accident. The ambulance was operating in non-emergency mode. Another neonatal team was dispatched to complete the transport.
