Not a factor Team: Pilot, Flight Paramedic, Flight Nurse. No injuries reported. Patient on board. Description: At 0614 on Monday, April 23, 2007 HealthNet III, based in Huntington, WV, was enroute with a patient from Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, WV to Saint Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. While in level flight at approximatley 2000' MSL a warning alarm sounded in the cockpit. A few moments later the aircraft experienced a loss of power. Initiaing emergency procedures, the pilot preformed an auto-rotation to a recently plowed field. Neither the pilot, medical crew or patient were injured. The patient and crew were transported by local EMS to the destination hospital. Appropriate local, state and federal officials have been notified of the incident. Aircraft maintenance staff members are evaluating the aircraft to determine how to safely remove the aircraft from the field.
