[Date Prev][Date Next][Date Index] AeroCare Medical Transport - Non-injury incidentDate: 5/13/2007 1530 MDT Program: AeroCare Medical Transport PO Box 150003 Tulsa OK 74115-0003 Type: King Air B200 Tail #: N888ZX Operator/Vendor: Flight Concepts Weather: Clear. Not a factor Team: Pilot, Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic. No injuries reported. No patient. Description: While returning to base after dropping off a patient at Flagstaff, the PIC extended the landing gear and only 2 of 3 indicator lights illuminated green. The PIC tested the lights and they were all functioning. The gear was retracted and extended again and this time there was only 1 indicator illuminated green. PIC rerouted to a larger airport with safety equipment directed medical crew to contact the Comm. Center via sat phone to advise of situation, the rerouting and to initiate PAIP. Pilot used manual gear extension procedure and received 3 green light indications. Acft landed without incident. Additional Info: Upon notification, The Director of Maintenance overnighted a landing gear motor to the maintenance facility and the motor was successfully replaced. The aircraft was out of service less than 24 hours.
