Not a factor Team: Pilot, flight paramedic, Dupont Specialty Team. No injuries reported. Patient on board. Description: During straight and level flight, a loud thump was heard followed by an aircraft vibration from the tail section. Pilot executed a precautionary landing at the closest air park in Laurel, Delaware. Initial aircraft inspection indicated a failure in the air conditioning system. Additional Info: The bolts holding the air conditioning drive pulley sheared from the rotor brake disk, causing the pulley belt to disengage from the pulley. Manufactuer of air conditioning system has been notified, plus the STAT fleet has implemented initial and recurring checks to help ensure the condition of the a/c system. Source: Paul L.
