Not a factor Team: Pilot, Flight Nurse, Flight Physician. No injuries reported. Patient on board. Description: On the above date and time the aircraft was on the patient transport leg of an inter-hospital transport. Approximately 10 minutes into flight the medical team noticed a light smell possibly associated with an electrical element. Aircraft immediately diverted to a local airport and landed without incident. A local ambulance company met the aircraft at the airport and the transport was completed by ground with out incident. Aircraft was placed out of service for inspection. Additional Info: Maintenance personnel found a circuit breaker in the overhead cabin which had become loose and ?chaffed? a wire. This caused the outer covering of the wire to burn away creating the smell in the cabin. The circuit breaker and wire were replaced and all components in the same area were re-inspected without additional findings. Aircraft placed back in service the following evening.
