Description:
Today at 1209, a CALSTAR crew experienced a loss of anti-torque
control as they brought the aircraft to a hover at the Salinas, CA
base when returning from a mission. No injuries were reported.

The pilot executed a hovering autorotation resulting in damage to the
skid crosstubes. Maintenance will look for further damage, if any,
when the incident investigation has been completed.

The loss of anti-torque control was caused by the failure of the

aircraft are grounded until further notice pending an inspection of
	the control rods.
