Not a factor Team: Pilot, Flight Nurse, Flight Paramedic. No injuries reported. Patient on board. Description: Enroute to OHSU Hospital from Cottage Grove, OR, Life Flight 5 struck a small duck at approximately 2,500 MSL. The impact area was the nose of the aircraft. A precautionary landing was executed at the Albany airport. A second Life Flight helicopter was in the air and was immediately diverted to transfer the patient. A thorough inspection revealed no damage to the aircraft.
