	Flight Paramedic - injured

Description: 
	Flight request turned down for weather due to thunderstorms and high
	winds (47 kts). Patient transported by ground ambulance from Geauga
	Medical Center, Chardon, Ohio to Case Medical Center, Cleveland. 
	
	While enroute, Flight Paramedic briefly unlatched his seat belt to
	change an IV bag when the ambulance applied its brakes abruptly to
	avoid hitting tree limb down on road. Flight Paramedic was thrown
	forward and received injuries to head, back and shoulder. No other
	persons injured. 
	
	911 called, Paramedic transported to local Level II trauma center by
	local FD squad, and original patient transported by the ground
	ambulance crew to Case without further incident. 

Additional Info: 
	Paramedic hospitalized 2 days and released.  He is still receiving
	treatment and has not returned to work.
