	7700 West 38th Street
	Indianapolis, Indiana 46254

Description:
At approximately 1614 EST 01/05/09, while in flight on an
interfacility transport the pilot noticed both a FADEC fail caution
light and a FADEC fail audio alarm. The pilot elected to land the
aircraft in an open parking lot. After safely landing the aircraft,
local EMS arrived and the patient was transported to the destination
hospital via ground ambulance. There was no damage to the aircraft.
Maintenance inspected the aircraft and found that the HMU had
malfunctioned. Once it was replaced, the aircraft was returned to
	service.
