Not a factor Team: Pilot + 2 RN. No injuries reported. No patient. Description: The flight crew experienced a significant amount of smoke and noxious fumes in the aircraft from the cabin ventilation system while on short final to a remote scene location approximately 15 miles west of Ukiah, CA. The aircraft was landed safely at the scene location. Maintenance inspected the aircraft at the landing site and determined that the vent blower fan had failed. After further consultation with maintenance, the aircraft was returned to base and later returned to service. Source: Louie R.
